It’s with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to the very first Disney Store I ever walked into, and the very first one to open it’s door to Disney Guests on March 28, 1987!
Being a past Disney Store Lead I know what the Cast Members must be feeling since the news. The store I was in went from a Disney Store to a concept idea called Disney Kids And Home. The idea wasn’t as popular as Disney had hoped and the store eventually closed. A very sad day when they tore out our giant welcoming mickey out of the entrance floor.
We wish all of the Cast Members who have brought so much magic to Guests throughout the years in that location the greatest of luck. And remember, once a Cast Member, always a Cast member!
